Palevo – 3D Fabric Rendering Experiment
Exploring softness, flow, and cloth realism in CGI
Palevo is a 3D product rendering experiment designed to study the softness and flow of fabric in a digital space. Using pre-built shirt models, I applied custom cloth materials and textures to achieve a natural, airy look. Each garment was lit with a single softbox setup, adding a rim light that highlighted the folds, stitching, and subtle surface details. The hangers were kept intentionally minimal—wood textures floating in space—to focus on the fabric itself. To push the experiment further, I created a simple animation using deformers instead of dynamics, allowing the shirts to flow with a soft, cloth-like motion. While simple in execution, the Palevo project captures the essence of fabric visualization in CGI, showing how lighting and material choices bring textiles to life.
